Miss Olivia is a versatile dancer from Memphis, Tennessee who began her dance training in 2011 competing at UDA and NDA with White Station Middle School’s hip hop dance team. Upon entering high school and realizing her emotional connection with dance, she began ballet and contemporary training at Ballet Memphis, where she advanced quickly through the standard levels. She is a former member of Ballet Memphis’ junior company, Youth Ballet Memphis, and received roles in their fall and spring shows, as well as their annual production of The Nutcracker. In 2017, she began pursuing her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at Valdosta State University. She was consistently and heavily involved in every dance production at VSU, including the annual fall concert, annual student-choreographed concerts in the spring, and two touring children’s shows in 2018 and 2021.
While in Valdosta, Miss Olivia taught ballet, tap, and jazz at Valdosta School of Ballet, and participated in their annual winter show, Sleeping Beauty, in which she played Aurora in 2020. Olivia’s favorite styles of movement are ballet, contemporary, and improvisation, and she enjoys the connection to movement through somatics.
