A Cabarrus Dance Academy Tradition
The Cabarrus Dance Academy Christmas Ballet is a yearly tradition where our dancers perform both a rendition of the Christmas Nativity, in addition to another Christmas selection. This year we will be performing The Snow Angel. Performance in the Christmas Ballet is voluntary.
The requirements for dancers are that they must be:
- at least 7 years old
- presently enrolled in Ballet II or above
Dancers are chosen by audition, though all dancers who audition are given a part. Rehearsals are conducted on weekends. Parents may be asked to make accessories for the ballet, but students are not required to purchase a costume. The only fee associated with the Christmas Ballet is a Performance Fee of $85 ($50 for each additional child), which helps to defray the cost of rehearsals and stage rental for the performance. This will also include a digital download of the performance. Admission to the ballet is by donation to the Coltrane LIFE Center.

Audition Information
Auditions will take place on September 19th, 2026 at Cabarrus Dance Academy. Everyone who auditions will receive a part in the Ballet.
Audition will be by age group:
2nd - 3rd Grades 9:30am-10am
4th - 5th Grades 10am-10:30am
6th - 8th Grades 10:30am-11:15am
9th - 12th Grades 11:30am-12:15pm
