Miss Alisha is from Concord, NC. She began her dance training at age 10 at Peggé Lee School of Dance (now Cabarrus Dance Academy). She continued her training in the surrounding area where she was classically trained in the Royal Academy of Dance, Vaganova, and Cecchetti Methods of ballet.
During her pre-professional training she performed works by Marius Petipa, George Balanchine, and Alvin Ailey. She started her professional dance career with Martha Connerton/Kinetic Works where she worked with such choreographers as Duane Cyrus and Kim Jones.
Miss Alisha returned to CDA as a teacher and has immensely enjoyed watching her students grow as both dancers and as people. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing. She is a nurse practitioner at Atrium Cabarrus.
